MPI Announces Auction of Modern Church Facility in the Pill Hill Neighborhood
Millennium Properties R/E, a premier boutique brokerage and property management company, announced that it will be selling a church facility located in the Pill Hill neighborhood of Chicago at auction on August 14, subject to a low reserve price. The property is currently used as a 22,800 square foot church with a parking lot; however, the 29,490 square foot site can potentially be rehabbed or redeveloped for other uses.
Located at the corner of 90th and Stony Island, the three level modern church can support a large congregation. The main sanctuary currently seats 400 people, but can potentially be expanded to hold 600. A large meeting room in the lower level can seat 400 and is surrounded by smaller conference rooms and classrooms.
The 29,490 square foot site also has potential as a redevelopment opportunity with more than 250' of frontage on Stony Island. The site can potentially be redeveloped as a medical office, retail center, restaurant, school or office. Millennium Properties will hold property tours on July 29, August 5, and August 12 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
“This property, priced significantly below replacement cost, is appealing for both religious groups and developers with its highly visible and convenient location on Stony Island,” said Daniel J. Hyman, president of Millennium Properties. “Built in the early 1990s, this facility has many desirable features for religious groups including classrooms, conference rooms, large gathering areas and ample parking for worshippers as well as a convenient location.”
“With more than 250’ of frontage on Stony Island, this property has a great deal of redevelopment potential in this growing neighborhood,” said Brad Thompson, vice president of Millennium Properties.
